Lets have a little looksie inside this months Burda shall we ?
As usual - these are just my own picks :-)
The source for all of the lovely images can be found here
I must admit that there was not that much else that tickled me, but you can deny that Burda is good value for money. Plus it makes me well happy when the new edition drops through my letter box.
In other news I am hoping to post a pictures of the Mint Aero skirt later this arvo. And Myself and Mr P are back to Amsterdam tomorrow for the 'Little Dragon' concert. Tres excitemon !
Happy Sunday people.

I don't always buy it, because I can't get it near me, but I did buy this issue last week! I love the knot-front skirt (2nd image), and interestingly, I was watching the original Mission Impossible, season 7 (from 1971) a couple days ago, and one of the female characters was wearing the EXACT SAME dress as image 4, only in knit fabric and with long sleeves. And each side of the dress was a different color, so where it twisted together it looked really cool!
ReplyDeleteoooo I shall have to look out for the dress - I will lurk it online :-) I think the knot fronted skirt is lovely and am hopeful that I can see some finished versions in blogland soon ! xx
DeleteI just saw a post from the Selfish Seamstress - she made the short version of the dress. Lovely!

Thanks Gail ! I am going to check that out right now :-) xx
DeleteI'm really digging that blazer at the end. Love the collar and that shade of green! I've actually never laid hands on a burdastyle magazine. I've checked at bookstores around, but never found one. I just buy the subscription and be done with it!
ReplyDeleteGotta love a blazer - it goes with everything and makes you look super stylish ! I also get the subscription, I started in October as that issue had LOADS of beauties in it. Its very exciting when it arrives, like a lucky dip of patterns ! xx
DeleteI subscribed to Burda thinking I wouldn't buy anymore patterns. To be honest I don't find it that inspiring, or wearable in my everyday! How do you get on with all that pattern tracing?
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I find MANY of the patterns unwearable, or just too darned skilled for me to make. It does not replace my love of getting a new pattern, but I do enjoy a good old flick through when it arrives. I found that tracing is easier when you use a high-light pen to go around what you are tracing first. Its not great, but it is better than trying to trace without. I also tape the pattern and tracing paper to the window, I know my neighbours probably think I am mad, but the natural light box works a treat ! xx
